EAST PALESTINE RUBBER COMPANY, INC. STOCK CERTIFICATE
The collection consists of one stock certificate and one bonus bond from The East
Palestine Rubber Company, East Palestine, Ohio. The certificate is for four shares of the
company issued to Robert Winfree issued on May 7, 1917, and is signed by Emmett (?) L. Lynn,
president and B.C. Tunism (?), treasurer. The bonus bond certifies that the owner of the shares
of capital stock will be entitled to buy, “for his personal use only,” tires and tubes manufactured
by the company for a registered automobile “at the actual cost of manufacture” as long as the
stock is owned.

EAST PALESTINE RUBBER COMPANY, INC.
The East Palestine Rubber Company was incorporated in East Palestine, Ohio, by April
1912, with an original capital stock of $50,000. The company made rubber tires and other
rubber products. The principal officers were Wilmer Dunbar, president, A.S. Mauk, vicepresident and Abram Hartley, secretary-treasurer. By 1917, the company had a capital stock of
$1,000,000. The president was Emmett (?) Lyon and the treasurer was B.C. Tunism (?).
