PENN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. STOCK CERTIFICATES
The collection consists of two stock certificates from the Penn Construction Company,
Inc. One certificate totaling 9 shares issued Jan. 6, 1890 to John Bell Winfree, Lynchburg, Va.;
and one certificate of 50 shares issued Jan. 13, 1890 to John B. Winfree.

PENN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.
The Penn Construction Company was incorporated in New Jersey, in 1889, with a capital
stock of $500,000. The principal officers were Charles Lensig, president, and W.C. Houston, Jr.,
secretary. Its primary function was the construction of rail lines for the Lynchburg and Durham
Rail Road Company.
