NATIONAL LEAGUE OF AMERICAN PEN WOMEN
The Lynchburg, Virginia, Branch of the National League of American Pen Women
was organized on 23 May 1958, with five charter members, "to promote creative and
educational activities in Art, Letters and Music...by bringing together, for their mutual
professional and financial benefit, women engaged in the creative work of pen, pencil or
brush." The Lynchburg Branch has sponsored many lectures and exhibitions in the
Lynchburg area.
