LYNCHBURG MADRIGAL CLUB
The Lynchburg Madrigal Club was organized in 1939 in Lynchburg, Virginia. The
first public appearance of the club was on 29 March 1949. The club participated in music
festivals and conferences in Lexington, Ashland, Masanetta, and Richmond, Virginia. In
1953, the club appeared at the dedication of the E. C. Glass High School Auditorium and
at the Black Hills Passion Play, in Lynchburg.
