MUSIC LOVERS’ LEAGUE (LYNCHBURG, VA) LETTER TO SUBSCRIBERS
Letter, dated 10 June 1926 to subscribers asking for support for the upcoming season,
which includes “three concerts by distinguished artists who have not appeared here before.” It
also provides a financial report for the previous year, a list of officers, and a list of artists that
have appeared in Lynchburg since 1919 under the management of the League. Artists included
the Paulist Choir, Alberto Salvi, the Russian Symphonic Choir, and the Elshuca Trio.

MUSIC LOVERS’ LEAGUE (LYNCHBURG, VA)
The Music Lovers’ League of Lynchburg was organized around 1919 in Lynchburg, Va.
The League presented programs of professional musicians performing in Lynchburg, often at
Smith Memorial Building at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. At the beginning of the
Great Depression, the League was dissolved.
