Album filled with pressed flowers, locks of hair; includes evergreen twig from casket
of Stonewall JACKSON, piece of stationery given her by Gen. Robert E. LEE, and
autograph of John S. MOSBY.
CATHERINE CORNELIA HARRISON (1840-1876)
Catherine Cornelia HARRISON, daughter of Burr William HARRISON and Sarah
Harrison POWELL, was born 20 August 1840 in Loudoun County, Virginia. [Henry

Catherine Cornelia HARRISON married 26 February 1874 Burr P. NOLAND of
Middleburg, Virginia. [Amelia M. Jewell, comp., Loudoun County Virginia Marriage Records to 1881
(Berryville, VA: Virginia Book Co., 1975), p. 244. Listed as "C. Conie [Corrie?] HARRISON; Harrison,
Brief History, states they were married March 1874.]
Catherine Cornelia (HARRISON) NOLAND died in August 1876, leaving no
children. [Lucas, Powell Family, loc.cit.]
[DOCUMENTATION]
One page in volume, identified as "California" and including dried flowers, is dated
1876. Several names are listed on the page including "by M. P. ADIE," "to E. C.
HARRISON," dated at top of page "Sent Aug. 13th 1876," and initials at bottom of page,
"A.M.H." with date "Aug 21st" [1876]. M. P. ADIE was the second cousin of Catherine
C. HARRISON and was the daughter of Rev. George ADIE and Mary E. POWELL.
