LEDGER P & S
The collection includes a ledger (1837-1838) of an unknown merchant, with accounts
indexed and arranged by name of customer. The accounts show the total amount of
merchandise sold but not the kinds of goods sold. Although the ledger is labeled
"Lynchburg," many of the names included in the account ledger are found in the area of
the counties of Nelson and Albemarle and the merchant may have been located in that
general area.
