In 1961, the Board of Directors of the Lynchburg Historical Society appointed a
Photographic Committee to photograph old houses of Lynchburg as a means of
preserving the history of the buildings. The photograph album, presented to Jones
Memorial Library in 1963, contains 101 individual photographs of these buildings.
