ANNE RANDOLPH RUCKER GLOVER LOYD (1926-2017)
Anne Randolph Rucker, daughter of John Addison Rucker and Wahnette Forbes, was
born 28 September 1926 in Lynchburg, Virginia. She attended the Richmond Professional
Institute and was employed as a banker and stockbroker. A serious genealogist, Anne did
extensive research on the Rucker, Meriwether and Davies families. She was a member of the
Meriwether Society, Daughters of the American Revolution (Blue Ridge Chapter), United
Daughters of the Confederacy, Davies family society, and the Clan Douglas Society.
Anne was a life-long member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Boonsboro. She died on 18
February 2017 and was buried in the church cemetery.
