THE CIVITAN CLUB, LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA
The Lynchburg Civitan Club, a chapter of Civitan International, was chartered in
Lynchburg in 1953. A service group, "dedicated to the building of good citizenship,"
participated in activities to increase public awareness of the needs of the handicapped and
to foster citizenship in the youth of the area. The first president of the Club was W.
