GEORGE WASHINGTON CLEMENT (1819-1910) ACCOUNT BOOKS
The collection includes two account books (ca.1840-1858) kept by George
Washington CLEMENT for his Mt. Zion farm property and for his store. Mt. Zion is
located in Campbell County, Virginia.

GEORGE WASHINGTON CLEMENT (1819-1910)
George Washington CLEMENT, son of Adam CLEMENT, Jr., and Nancy
ALEXANDER, was born 1 March 1819 in Campbell County, Virginia. He married 2
January 1841 Sarah Isabella CLEMENT, daughter of Dr. George Washington
CLEMENT and Stella SMITH, of Franklin County, Virginia. He operated a store and
farm near Mt. Zion in Campbell County. George Washington CLEMENT died 10
September 1910.

census records and the account books reveals the name to be "Sarah I. Clement," perhaps "Sarah Isabella
Clement," which corresponds with information given in "Notes on the Clement Family."]
