LYNCHBURG CHARTER CHAPTER, AMERICAN BUSINESS WOMEN’S
ASSOCIATION
The American Business Women’s Association was founded in 1949 in Missouri.
The purposes of this educational association are to elevate the social and business
standards of women in business by uniting them nationally’ keeping women updated on
new business techniques; improving employer-employee relations and awarding
scholarships locally to women completing their education to enter the business world.
Membership, by invitation, includes women from all professions and occupations.
Lynchburg Charter Chapter No. 1248 was chartered February 18, 1973, in
Lynchburg, Virginia.
