EN ARDENNE PENDANT L'OCCUPATION
This notebook was written and illustrated by students in the hamlet of La Croix-Bala,
in the commune of Signy le Petit, France, about their hamlet during World War II. The
volume is written in French but most of the passages have been translated into English.
Attached is an instruction sheet from the American Red Cross about the exchange of
student notebooks, which that organization sponsored. This notebook was probably sent
to a Lynchburg, Virginia, school as part of that notebook exchange.
