THE SERVAMUS CLUB
The Servamus Club was organized ca. 1933 for the “sole purpose of lending a
helping hand to people in need.” The word “Servamus” came from the Latin meaning
“we serve.” Through its many fundraising activities the Club provided, among other
things, wheelchairs for those in need, provided milk for needy school children, donated
supplies to crippled children, provided winter fuel and sent children to summer camp.
