The two boxes of papers contain information about the Guggenheimer family, the
Guggenheimer Department Store, and the Guggenheimer Hospital, all of Lynchburg,
Virginia. It also includes scrapbooks with store advertisements and photos of store
displays and events, genealogical and biographical information about family members,
and sheet music used at the Guggenheimer-Milliken Kindergarten. Of special interest are
letters from Bertha Guggenheimer written on her 1925 trip to the Middle East, and the
autograph album of Delia Guggenheimer.
