RADFORD IRON COMPANY MEMORANDUM OF CHARGES
The collection consists of a memorandum, dated at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19
January 1871, of charges made by the Radford Iron Company during NovemberDecember 1870.

RADFORD IRON COMPANY
The Radford Iron Company, located on the New River in Montgomery County,
Virginia, was incorporated in 1867, for the mining of coal, iron and other ores. The
capital stock of the company was not to exceed two million dollars, with shares of $100
each. The company also had the authority "to purchase and hold lands not exceeding
twenty thousand acres."
