HISTORIC PRESERVATION SURVEY OF RIVERMONT AVENUE,
LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA
The survey includes forms and photographs of buildings (mostly homes) on
Rivermont Avenue, numbered 301-2721.
The forms for each building include address, lot numbers, owners and occupants
(both current and previous), the building use and the year of construction. The forms
may include notes about the architecture, additions made to the building, a history of the
building, previous buildings on the same site and when they were demolished, and in
some cases notes about prominent owners or occupants. Deeds are listed in reverse
order, beginning with the most recent property transfer.
The survey was conducted in 1979-80. There is nothing to indicate who prepared the
survey and where.
