CALVIN G. BRINSON LETTER, 1864
Calvin G. Brinson's letter of 15 December 1864, was written in the prisoner's camp at
Elmira [NY?] and addressed to "My Dear Miss." He mentions the weather, his desire to
leave the camp, and a wounded arm which is gradually improving. In addition, he
mentions having a ring made which he is sending to the addressee. Brinson served in the
16th Mississippi, as is indicated in his signing of the letter.
