ALICE ANNE BRYANT PROFFITT
Alice Anne Bryant was born 4 September 1938, in Lynchburg, Virginia, the daughter of
Annie Enoch and William Bryant. She was educated at Longwood College and at Lynchburg
College and taught school in Amherst County for a number of years. On 25 January 1958, she
married Robert Lewis Proffitt, Jr in Chesterfield, S.C.
Anne Bryant Proffitt, teacher and amateur genealogist died 9 December 2011 and is
buried in Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg, Virginia.
