the occasion of the laying of the corner-stone of the First Baptist Church, corner of 11th and
Court Sts. at Lynchburg, Virginia, on Tuesday, June 3rd 1884, by the Grand Officers of the
Grand Lodge of Masons in Virginia, under the auspices of Marshall Lodge, No. 39, assisted by
Hill City Lodge, No. 183 and Lynchburg Chapter No. 10, escorted by the Lynchburg Home
Guard, the Lynchburg Light Artillery Blues, the Lynchburg Fire Department, and DeMolay
Commandery, No. 4.”
