FRANCES LEE PETERS (1928-1990)
Frances Lee PETERS, daughter of Bernard Lee PETERS and Nannie Sue McFADEN,
was born in Conway, South Carolina, 22 May 1928. Moving to Lynchburg, Virginia, in
ca. 1932, where her father later operated PETERS News Stand, she attended Miss
SCOTT's school and the Virginia Commercial College.
On 24 June 1950, in Alexandria, Virginia, Frances Lee PETERS married Robert
Dennis PROPER, Jr., son of Robert D. PROPER and Libbie A. HOSFORD. They were
divorced in Lynchburg, Virginia, on 24 June 1958.
On 4 August 1962, Frances Lee PETERS married George Alfred GLASS, son of
Corbin Decatur GLASS and Cordia PUGH, of Lynchburg, Virginia. They were divorced
in Lynchburg, Virginia, on 5 October 1979.
Frances Lee (PETERS) (PROPER) GLASS died 2 August 1990 in Lynchburg and
was buried in the City Cemetery.
