LYNCHBURG BAR ASSOCIATION, INC.
The Lynchburg Bar Association was organized in the 1930s and is a voluntary
organization composed of attorneys practicing primarily within the 24th and 10th judicial
circuits of Virginia. The main purposes of the association include the improvement of
professional competence of area lawyers, to encourage and maintain congenial
professional relationships and fellowship among its members, and to promote the
interests and welfare of the public and members of the bar. The Association was
chartered in 1989 as a non-profit, non-stock Virginia corporation. The association is
administered by a fifteen-member board of directors.
