DELTA KAPPA GAMMA SOCIETY
Iota State (Virginia), a state chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International,
was organized 29 November 1934, in Richmond, Virginia. Iota Chapter of Iota State
(Virginia) was organized in Lynchburg, Virginia on 8 June 1946. The purposes of the
organization include uniting women educators in fellowship, endowing scholarships to
aid women educators in pursuing graduate study and to support legislation in the interests
of education and women educators.
